This year our program will
be directed by Ralph Baldenegro, Head Softball Coach for the Chandler-Gilbert
Community College Coyotes Softball team.
We are very excited to be working with Coach Baldenegro and his staff.
The clinic is designed for
players who are league age 9-14 (age before August 1, 2003). This clinic is an invaluable learning
experience, especially for players who are moving up a division from Coach-Pitch
to Player-Pitch Minors, from Player-Pitch Minors to Majors, or from Majors to
Juniors. The program will be held
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00pm – 8:00pm.
In these 2 hour sessions, the clinic staff will be working with our
players on all the fundamentals, including batting, base running, infield
defense, outfield defense, and pitching.
The fee for all 15 (no clinic on 10/31), 2-hour sessions is $60.00. Each participant also receives a practice
shirt.
Because pitching is such a specialized skill, only the basics will be covered in the standard clinic. If enough interest is shown, specialized pitching instruction will be offered from 8:00pm – 8:30pm, following the standard sessions. When the decision is made on offering the specialized pitching clinic, it will be posted on the website. Sign-ups will be taken at the first session on September 17th. Cost for the additional 15, 30-minute pitching clinics, if offered, will be $30.00.
