All-Star Selection Procedures for Managers
1 Forms will be given to managers asking if they are interested in managing the All- Star team for their division.
- Forms will include interest in managing, and commitment regardless of whether or not his/her child is selected to play.
- Forms must be filled out and returned at the managers meeting on May 2nd, 3rd or 4th.
Note: Only managers are eligible to manage an All-Star team, unless there are no candidates or all candidates have been rejected.
- The League President will assemble a committee of 5 board members for each division that will have an all-star team. They should have no ties to the division they will be selecting the manager from including but not limited to having a son/daughter in that division.
- Once all the potential candidates have been identified the committee will conduct interviews with each candidate, along with talking to players, parents and other managers and coaches to help them determine the best individual for the position.
- The committee will have until the deadline that is assigned by the President to determine their choice for the manager of that division. They will then recommend their choice to the President of the league who has the option to approve or veto the committee's choice.
5 The committee will consider the following criteria in approving or selecting the all-star Manager (not in this order):
- Relationship with parents
- How they relate with the players
- Coaching experience
- Years in the league
- Availability
- Whether they abided by the rules during the regular season
- Win/Loss record during the season does not matter in selection of the All-Star Manager.
