All-Star Player Selection Procedures
1) Player Nomination
Players and Managers/coaches on each team will nominate players for the All-Star team. The number of players nominated is dependent on the number of teams in the division, as follows:

The player candidates nominated by their teammates fill the first half of the team slots. The balance of the team slots are filled by the top manager/coach nominees that are not duplicates of the player nominations.
2) Coach Selection
The compiled list will be given to the manager for each division along with indication of any player whose parent is an applicant for an All-Star coaching position. The manager will then submit his/her choices for assistant coaches to the Executive Board for approval. NOTE: No All-Star Manager/Coaching staff may be solely comprised of manager/coaches from one team from the regular season.
3) Player Selection All-Star Managers/Coaches should get together with other regular season managers and coaches to get feedback on player candidates. The All-Star Manager & Coaches of each division will also use the post-season tournament to evaluate the players submitted for consideration. Among other things, the All-Star Manager & Coaches should consider the following in selecting players for participation on the All-Star Team: player's attitude, parents’ attitude, player's ability and skill, and player availability for practice and games.
NOTE: The "acceptable" number of practices and/or games that a player may be allowed to miss will be determined by the All-Star Manager with approval from the Executive Board on a case by case basis.The Executive Board will review and approve the All-Star Team player selections.
Parents' attitudes can jeopardize their son's/daughter's chance of making the All-Star team.
4) Player Acceptance
Players may wish to consider the following things in deciding if they are interested in participating in the All-Star Selection Process: vacation schedules (tournament schedule could last into early August), players must have original birth certificates to participate, there will be a $100 fee to participate ($50 will be refunded if the player's parents contribute the required volunteer hours).
5) Player Announcement
All-Star player selections will be announced on June 15, 2002.
